Defying the outdated belief that women can’t lead, these trailblazing women have built and now run a powerful NGO that is driving real, lasting change in their community. They are living proof that women, especially older women, can do the hard work, challenge the norms, and lead with purpose and impact.

Thank you MV+ for giving us the community impact award  and recognizing all the hard work we do. We are deeply grateful and thankful for the continued support you have shown us. 

The plants we care for reside in remote places and are require a long commute. Regardless of how difficult it is, we do it for the betterment of our community! 

We are deeply honored to have met with the Australian High Commissioner to discuss our work and upcoming projects. This is a huge step for us as we build new connections and networks to improve our efficiency in getting our core message out there, spreading awareness, and inspiring people to join us in our efforts

Veshisaafu is steadfast in keeping our community clean and green. By regularly collecting plastic and other trash strewn about by people, we do our best to keep the city we all live in clean. However, a major challenge we face is not having a plastic compressor so we smash it down with our feet. While

A protected area in Addu known as Kinbi vau time and time again has been damaged by people living in the area. Ancient trees in the area has been burned and damaged while authorities are yet to catch the perpetrators despite it being their responsibility. 

Wetlands are vital ecosystems that filter pollutants in the water, help combat climate change, and support biodiversity. Protecting these spaces is all of our responsibility, at least for the sake of our future generation.

This artwork portrays the damage caused by plastic to our marine life and ecosystem. The only way we can protect the animals is by being more mindful of our littering practices.  Plastic is not good for the marine ecosystem and life.
