We are so grateful to have been invited to the celebration of worlds ocean day, hosted by Addu Nature Park. We also built many connections with other organizations present and we look forward to collaborating with everyone. Once again, Thank you Addu Nature Park for this opportunity. 

Not many have the passion to serve our community, but this member of Veshisaafu has been one of the most hardworking women in the NGO. We should all strive to work as diligently as she does and contribute towards building a cleaner and greener community. She is truly a hero.

We are so grateful to Six Senses Kanuhura Resort for not only warmly welcoming us and supporting our project, but also taking it a step further by creating a cookbook featuring our ancestors’ breadfruit recipes. The photoshoots are complete, and we hope everyone is as excited as we are for the release of the book.

We’re excited to share that we’ve expanded our breadfruit conservation and food security program. We’re grateful to Six Senses Kanuhura Resort for warmly welcoming us and providing the resources to carry out this project on their resort. It’s disheartening to see so many people shamelessly litter, leaving it for others to clean up. We hope everyone becomes more conscious of their actions and how they affect not only the environment but our community as well. Let’s all work together to create the kind of community we want to live in.

We are so grateful to have met @genthedarling during her trip to Addu. We had the opportunity to discuss our work with her while showing her around our breadfruit orchard. The image above shows just how damaging plastic is to wildlife. This should be our wake up call to stop littering in the ocean. Your convenience is a death sentence to marine life. Let’s all be more mindful of our littering practices. 

This week, Veshisaafu joined an environmental cleanup initiative organized by Avashu Office.
