A protected area in Addu known as Kinbi vau time and time again has been damaged by people living in the area. Ancient trees in the area has been burned and damaged while authorities are yet to catch the perpetrators despite it being their responsibility.

This artwork portrays the damage caused by plastic to our marine life and ecosystem. The only way we can protect the animals is by being more mindful of our littering practices. Plastic is not good for the marine ecosystem and life.
The volunteers at veshisaafu has been doing their best to keep the community clean but it is not only their responsibility. We all need to be aware about the importance of a clean environment. After all, its not only the people of our org benefiting from this. Let’s all do our part.
Addu’s pride, the White Tern’s population is predicted to decline to the point of extinction in the near future by experts.
